The “Up Yours” Campaign
The utilities have lobbied for more electricity use but can’t provide the power. So, we started the Up Yours Campaign.

Planned power outages and rolling brownouts are becoming more common.
Knowledge is Power
One of the greatest advantages of having a home battery is the peace of mind it provides. Your battery helps maximize the value of your solar investment every day, but when the grid goes down, it becomes something even more valuable: a reliable source of backup power.
Whether you’re keeping the lights on, preserving food in the refrigerator, powering your Wi-Fi, or staying comfortable until utility service is restored, a fully charged battery can make a world of difference.
Be Prepared Before the Power Goes Out
If your utility has announced maintenance or a scheduled outage in your area, don’t wait until the lights go out to think about your battery. Before a planned outage, it’s worth taking a few minutes to check your battery settings and increase its backup reserve, doing so the morning before the outage can help maximize the energy available when you need it most.
We also encourage homeowners to periodically check their utility’s scheduled outage maps, especially during periods of extreme heat or increased grid demand.
