Save Oswit Canyon! WE ARE 90% THERE!

UPDATE: ENOUGH FUNDING WAS RAISED TO SAVE OSWIT CANYON IN 2019

Oswit Canyon is the home and source of water for thousands of species, including birds, the endangered bighorn sheep, and many desert plants. This piece of land will become another home development destroying the natural landscape and habitats of all the animals that live here unless we can raise the last of the funds by 12/31/19! It is the beautiful gate to the Native American Canyons and there are simply better places for house developments than destroying this natural habitat. Help us raise what’s left so this land can be preserved for our sake and that of our animal neighbors!

Update: After the long battle of raising enough funds to save the canyon, the team behind Save Oswit Canyon, Inc. raised the remaining 1 million dollars before the end of 2019 to purchase the canyon from developers and prevent construction on the natural habitat.

In October of 2020, Save Oswit Canyon, Inc finally closed on the sale of the property and the canyon is now preserved for the wildlife and visitors alike.

Save Oswit is still taking donations for additional expenses such as taxes, insurance, maintenance, legal fees, and more. Learn more about how you can get involved or how to donate, here.
