Hot Purple Energy is excited to be hosting our bi-annual Midcentury Bike Ride for yet another year in honor of Modernism Week! The “architectural bike ride” will consist of riding through several Palm Springs neighborhoods that contain midcentury homes. Though the tour is planned as a group event, we will be providing an electronic copy of the course map prior to the event which will have the route clearly marked to allow riders the opportunity to explore on their own, if they wish. We will also be making the route available on the biking app, Strava. In the past, we have handed out physical copies of maps, this year, we’d like to be just a little bit more environmentally friendly. We hope you can join us on this neighborhood excursion and encourage you to invite friends and family. Just a friendly reminder that we host the ride but unfortunately DO NOT provide bikes. Please bring your own bike or contact Big Wheel Tours about renting one. They will fit you at the start of the ride; please contact them at firstname.lastname@example.org or (760)548-0500 with inquiries and to make a reservation. Hot Purple Energy is a local solar company that celebrates the architecture of Palm Springs. We enjoy this great opportunity to show off our town and our aesthetically integrated solar systems in a fun and sustainable way.

Lastly, we will be carefully marking the route with arrows should you not want to print a map. We also have the route available on Strava if you’d like to download the app! Remember, Strava does not mark the homes we have singled out, it only has the route for you to follow at your convenience: http://www.strava.com/routes/23845929.
