At Hot Purple Energy we are committed to raising the bar in alternative energy integration across the Coachella Valley and High Desert through the utilization of best in class system design, materials, and installation techniques. We have been designing and installing custom solar & energy systems in our community for over 10 years. Thanks to our strong referral base made up of our wonderful clients and neighbors, we continue to grow each year and are always adding to our team.
Locally based in Palm Springs, we strive to provide a positive environment for our dedicated, hard-working team all while having fun and excelling in what we do. Through innovative and educational outreach, we aim to inspire our community to make smarter choices in energy consumption, production, and storage, as well as live more sustainable and healthy lives. In addition to our community involvement, we work with several local high schools and colleges to provide opportunities for students to experience working in a business setting through both internships and individual events. We offer both office and on-the-field internships, each consisting of different tasks to provide students a firsthand view of day-to-day operations.

Solar Service Technician (Full-Time)
Position Overview:
In this position, the Solar Service Technician will have a variety of tasks that include but are not limited to: conducting site surveys to gather information needed to design systems; diagnosing and repairing underperforming systems; installing and troubleshooting various types of equipment including inverters, panels, monitoring devices, Wi-Fi extenders, etc.; processing RMA cases and troubleshooting with manufacturers. In addition, the Service Tech is responsible for updating and closing out daily job assignments throughout the day on a web-based operating system and should be able to clearly communicate any job details to the Service department.
Qualifications:
- Experience in solar, general construction, or electrical preferred but not required.
- Ability to be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops (heights) and be able to work on feet for long periods of time.
- Ability to navigate a computer and other technology.
- Must be comfortable talking with homeowners one on one.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be motivated, reliable and a team player.
- Have a positive attitude & good work ethic.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and willing to learn new things.

Construction Supervisor (Full-Time)
Position Overview:
We are looking for a Construction Supervisor to join our team and assist our Construction Manager with day-to-day duties. The ideal candidate should have a vast knowledge of solar and/or construction experience and have leadership experience. The Construction Supervisor will have a variety of tasks that may include but are not limited to: scheduling installer/electrician teams weekly to job sites; performing onsite supervision with knowledge in all aspects of the solar installation—on occasion may need to train crew members on new processes, concepts, or products; supervising and mentoring crew members and maintaining strong working relationships with them; and assisting the Construction Manager with any specific tasks and/or responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Experience in solar, general construction, or electrical preferred.
- Leadership/management experience preferred; Must be able to provide direction to staff and train new members if needed.
- Must be comfortable talking with homeowners one on one should any issues on job site arise and be able to maintain a calm demeanor.
- Must be able to communicate with other departments including Sales, Engineering, and Service.
- Must be motivated, reliable and a team player.
- Have a positive attitude & good work ethic.
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops (heights) and be able to work on feet for long periods of time.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record to be able to drive to any given job site and/or other location.
