Hot Purple Energy is excited to host its sixth annual Architectural Bike Tour during Modernism Week. This year we are celebrating famed local architect William Krisel by starting the tour on the newly-minted William Krisel Way, adjacent to the Ocotillo Lodge and will then head south through the neighborhoods of Twin Palms, Indian Canyons, Kings Point, and Canyon View Estates. The tour is planned as a group event, however maps will be available and the route is clearly marked to allow riders the opportunity to explore on their own, if they wish. The route is approximately 7 miles, with an optional 3 mile loop.
The route is relatively flat and can be done on both a cruiser or road bike.
Just a friendly reminder that unfortunately we do not provide bikes. Please bring your own bike, or contact Bike Wheel Tours about renting one from them at the start of the route; please contact them at email@example.com with inquiries and to make a reservation.
There will be a designated water stop along the route at the Krisel Butterfly House located in the Indian Canyons neighborhood. After the tour, join your fellow riders for a post-ride party at Appetito Cal-Italian Bar and Eatery (1700 S. Camino Real).
Please RSVP for this event by e-mailing RSVP@HotPurpleEnergy.com with your name and the number in your party, so that we can be sure to have enough of our signature free tour t-shirts on hand.
